Temple Sinai conducts Religious Services every week for both Erev
Shabbat and Shabbat, and for all Jewish Holidays at 7:30PM, unless otherwise
noted. We currently use the
"Mishkan
T'filah" for Friday evening Erev Shabbat
and for Saturday mornings Shabbat services start at 10AM. We have our own songster
booklet and a small choir
composed of members who enhance our services; music is an important part of each
service. Our High Holiday services are, naturally, a
special time to celebrate Rosh Hashanah and observe Yom Kippur.

- Special Blessings for Birthdays for the
Month will be on the 2nd Friday Night Erev Shabbat Service of the month
- Special Blessings for Anniversaries for
the Month will be on the 3rd Friday Night Erev Shabbat Service of the month
- The 4th Friday of the month is Simcha sharing.
Erev Shabbat Services
are every Friday night at 7:30 PM (unless it is a special service with a
pre-announced schedule - check the website or call the Office if you aren't sure).
Following the service, we enjoy an Oneg Shabbat with challah, wine, and
delicious snacks, and you are encouraged to mingle with the rabbi, cantor, our
special Shabbat welcomers and ushers, and other members.
Special Erev Shabbat Services
- such as monthly Intergenerational Shabbat, Blue Jeans Shabbat, Chanukah and
Purim - usually start at 7:30 PM
and may be preceded by a 5:30 PM community
dinner at the Temple. Monthly Family Services (also called Intergenerational)
are sometimes led by the Religious School or the Temple Youth Group.

A Well-Kept Secret
and a Pleasant Surprise! - by Lillian Nadler
Saturday mornings can be a time
for reflection and peace of mind for all of us if only we would attend Saturday
morning services which start at 10AM. You can find out for ourselves how meaningful it can be. So it was
for me this past Saturday.
Those attending are most gracious
and happy to have you join them. A small group of Saturday morning regulars
enjoy the services, coming away with a feeling of peace and desire to come back
for more.
Our young members who cannot
attend Friday night services would do well to attend Saturday morning, and bring
their young families with them. Our senior members who cannot attend Friday
night services would find it to be a wonderful way to spend the morning and
start a new week. Oh yes, and a lovely Kiddush afterwards.
Come one and all. See for
yourself what I have discovered. Saturday morning services at Temple Sinai.

Holiday Services are celebrated in
the weekly, or special, holiday service. Traditional rituals are
observed for Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Chanukah, and Purim. |
Passover
is a special holiday at Temple Sinai - we
celebrate a festive Seder on the first night of Passover, attended by both
members and non-members. This features a traditional Seder run by our own
Rabbi and Cantor, with a delicious catered meal, and is often a
sellout! |
